Wedding Wednesday: My Courthouse Wedding

Today was pretty horrible. My car got broken into, my purse was stolen and this was all before 9am. The rest of the day was filled with canceling credit cards, crying, and feeling horrible about the state of humanity.  Even though the day sucked there was a positive highlight, I was reminded of why I got married in the first place.

My husband left work early to come help me during this crisis and handled all of the insurance stuff over the phone while I was stuck in a panic. This is the first time anything traumatic has happened to me since we’ve been together and it felt great to have someone there to support me in a time of need, a partner to do life with. He is my protector and my confidant.

So yes, today was awful. But I’m so blessed to spend my tomorrows with such a thoughtful and caring individual. To commemorate our wedding day I thought I’d share a few images with you. Our courthouse wedding wasn’t super glamorous and we had to take our shoes off before entering the facility, but it was perfect.

Check out the gallery below and if you’re in a relationship, tell me what you love most about your partner in the comment section.

  1. This is a beautiful display of love! Thank you for sharing! Just last night I was on the phone with my boyfriend and I upset him. This morning when I called him I asked if he was still upset and he replied, “You know I can’t stay mad at you for too long.” That was so comforting to know that he loves me through it all, or at least all that we’ve been through. <3
