So… I wrote a book.

I’ve been absent from my blog for a number of reasons, but the main one is because I’ve been writing elsewhere. In fact, last month I realized I had three books in progress and wanted to release my first one in celebration of my birthday which was June 19th. So here we are. We’ll talk about those other two later but for now, let’s talk about #WTTM.

I spent so many lunch breaks and late nights reflecting and jotting down the lessons I’ve learned as a teacher and now I’ve compiled them all in one place for others to view. In What Teaching Taught Me, I share these lessons along with advice for teachers and parents alike.

I felt like this book was so necessary in today’s educational climate for a multitude of reasons. Due to having to be professional and polite, teachers aren’t always 100% honest with parents. At times we bite our tongues and trust me when I say, this does nothing to help students. In my authorial debut, I’m still polite, but I keep it all the way real with parents and tell them what they need to know. I’ve found that sometimes parents and teachers just need a little guidance in dealing with youth these days. I wrote this book in an attempt to offer that guidance and so much more.

I hope that you’ll support me by purchasing the book or helping me spread the word about it, it’d mean so much! And if you’ve already purchased your copy, please be sure to post it on social media using the hashtag #WTTM.
