Happy Monday!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Music Monday and I just heard a song that I feel obligated to share. But first, let me offer my two-cents on the music industry. I’ve always admired those with a love for music who worked diligently to become musicians in today’s industry. It’s a tough industry to break into and I can’t imagine what’s it’s like for musicians these days. I know of so many artists who’ve worked for years but have yet to garner any type of mainstream attention. Luckily, Treasure Davis isn’t one of those artists. I first heard her singing in a contest on the radio years ago, but she’s recently worked with J. Cole and her latest video, “The One” has over 100,000 views on YouTube. That is the song I’m sharing with you on this fine Monday. Take a listen and you’ll see why I absolutely love the tone of her voice and hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
